NOTES
Jeanne Kuhns is a folk/blues singer, songwriter, and a passionate performer who conveys to her audiences her love of life and nature. She sings about the experiences that have shaped her life with sensitivity and honesty.

She has been influenced by folk, blues and rock and these threads have been woven into her music. She carries her poetic lyrics to you with a voice that has a private, intimate quality, full and deep yet capable of sliding into a clear high falsetto..

Norb Blei, writer for the Penninsula Pulse writes" This is one of those albums that seems determined to take over your plans ...demanding to be heard again and again. The music and lyrics have invaded your being, your mind is occupied territory...a full, far reaching voice(alto sliding up to soprano) ..that beautiful mix of folk(voice , strings/heart and conscience) with a down to earth, a little rock and sometimes bluesy beat."

Kuhns started her solo career performing at "A Womens Song" at Third Avenue Playhouse in Sturgeon Bay, Wi. in 2002, in the good company of Karen Mal, Dorothy Scott and Kathy Braaten. She then participated in Jan La Fontaine's "Out of the Shadows" project and book "Women in Shadow and Light".

Her second cd "Lost Moth : Found" recorded and produced by Hans Christian of Allemande Music in Sister Bay ,Wi. , was partially funded by Peninsula Arts Association and Wisconsin Arts board. She has some of the best of Door County's musicians playing with her.
